By CreditMan Friday, January 16, 2015

The UK’s largest independent invoice finance provider, Bibby Financial Services (BFS), has strengthened its North East team with the appointment of Mike Day, as Head of Sales for the region.

He will be supported by corporate manager Pulin Trivedi; Business Development Managers Michael Horner, Julie Ralph and Graeme Harrison; and Matt Lister as Business Development Executive.

Michael, Julie and Matt have over 30 years’ combined experience within the financial services sector and are all committed and driven to developing Bibby Financial Services presence within the region and supporting local businesses.

The team will be further bolstered with Mike, who brings significant financial experience having worked in the invoice finance and banking industry for 24 years. Prior to joining Bibby Financial Services, he had a successful career as Area Director for Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance where he managed a sales team of 11 people across Yorkshire, the North West, North East and Cumbria, delivering invoice finance solutions to small and medium-sized enterprises.

Mike joined BFS in 2013 as Head of Sales for Yorkshire & Humberside but will now extend his reach to the North East.

Recent research from Bibby Financial Services SME Tracker shows that 73 per cent of businesses in the North East are expecting growth over the next three years. With this in mind, the bolstered team will continue to boost funding and support businesses throughout the region.

Mike said: “We have a strong team in the North East with many years of finance experience across the board. The team works with local thriving businesses every day and really understand what they need to grow.

“The North East business economy is growing steadily, and my hope is that 2015 will be a prosperous year for SMEs in the region.”

Formed in 1982, BFS is part of the Liverpool-based Bibby Line Group, a 200 year old business services company. Today, the business finances 7,000 businesses in over 300 industry sectors throughout the UK.The UK’s largest independent invoice finance provider, Bibby Financial Services (BFS), has strengthened its North East team with the appointment of Mike Day, as Head of Sales for the region.
