Adrian Chiles and Peter Sissons join icm08 line-up
icm08, The Credit Management Convention, has announced an impressive line-up of presenters from the world of news and current affairs to support its conference programme and the promise of delivering real knowledge to the credit management industry.
The icm08 conference draws upon expert comment from those with a broad range of experience within the credit management profession, and starts with a keynote address by Adrian Chiles - the well-known business and current affairs broadcaster. It culminates in a Question-Time style forum chaired by Peter Sissons, veteran presenter of news for more than 40 years.
As well as presenting the BBC’s Working Lunch, Adrian also presented 20 editions of So what do you do all day? – a look at how some of the world’s most successful people work and play. In 2003 he fronted a documentary about Britain’s richest Asians, Asian Millionaires, and more recently presented The Apprentice: You’re Fired, the spin-off to the BBC’s hit business series featuring Alan Sugar. He now hosts a new current affairs magazine programme, The One Show.
Broadcaster Peter Sissons, back for the second year, is probably British television's most experienced presenter of News, having worked for ITN, Channel Four, and the BBC - presenting all the main terrestrial bulletins, and a host of special programmes on major events. He also succeeded Sir Robin Day as presenter of the BBC's flagship discussion programme, Question Time.
Philip King, Director General of the ICM commented: “Our commitment is to deliver real knowledge and genuine insight into the credit management profession, and I am certain that the additional gravitas that Adrian and Peter bring to the conference will be warmly received.
“The conference meets the needs of those in both the consumer and the commercial sectors, enabling delegates to pick the particular sessions that meet their area of interest. It is their chance to obtain the appropriate practical tools, information, recognition and support they need to compete in an increasingly demanding business environment.
icm08 is in effect three events in one: a conference, exhibition and industry awards programmes uniting under one convention, under one roof, on one day. It is also the occasion for the Graduate and Prize Winners presentation lunch. icm08 is to be held at London’s ExCel on Thursday 6th March 2008.
