Top Service, the leading supplier of credit information and debt collection services for the construction industry, is preparing to celebrate its silver anniversary in February 2016 – a huge milestone for a small company that launched back in 1991 with just a handful of small builders’ merchants as their only clients!
Since then, the company has built on firm foundations of exemplary customer care, up-to-date information and cost-effective services, developing a solid reputation as the market leader along the way.
Co-founder Lisa Cardus says, “When the company began in 1991, we recognized there was a real need for this type of specialist service. Construction is a lengthy process, involving many layers of providers. People need to know that their business partners are financially stable – nobody wants a project going under halfway through completion. And that’s why Top Service is so vital. Our clients know they can rely on us to provide in-depth, accurate and up-to-date financial information, which allows them to make informed business decisions.”
Starting life with 4 customers and 2 employees in a small rented room in a music school Top Service has been through 2 recessions, 4 prime ministers and now, as market leaders, boasts over 2,500 traders amongst their specialist community. One such trader is County Building Supplies from Worcestershire – not only one of the first clients to come on board, but still a regular to this day.
Martyn Rees, Director at County Building Supplies says, “Well, what can I say where have the last 25 years gone? I remember the first meeting, none of us were sure how successful it would be but to my delight the exchange of information between us and Top Service’s determination soon had even some of the most difficult old debts resolved. Top Service now seem to be the leading company in the industry the by word for information.”
Now recognised as the ‘go to’ company for all aspects of credit information, credit control and debt collection within the industry, Top Service has great plans for the future, including continued growth, whilst keeping up levels of customer service.
“We started life with a philosophy that customers are our number 1 priority,” says Lisa Cardus. “This remains embedded in our company values. Our customers are key, and we’d like to thank everyone who has supported us, for making the company what it is today.”
To celebrate their milestone, the company plans to open the offices for a celebratory glass of fizz on Thursday 10th March 2016 – all clients old and new are welcome.
