Creditsafe Group, the Global Business Intelligence Experts, has today announced the appointment of Gertjan Kaart to its global management team, which will see him join as Group Chief Strategy Officer while also taking day-to-day responsibility for Creditsafe Netherlands where he will be Managing Director.
With over 20 years’ experience in the business information industry, Gertjan has held Board positions at Graydon, and BIGNet, before launching his own consultancy, KaartCompany in 2013. As the current President of the industry’s pan-European trade body, the Federation of Business Information Service (FEBIS), Gertjan has been influential in the organisation’s growth and is a well-known and respected industry figure.
Gertjan will play a leading role in shaping the company’s future strategic development working with the global management team that has driven the business’s recent year-on-year success. Creditsafe now has 16 offices across 12 countries worldwide following its recent expansion into Asia by opening in Japan in September and will also be setting up in Norway later in 2016. The continued growth and development of Creditsafe’s group management team is expected to enable the company to achieve its aims of further global expansion in the near future.
Creditsafe has also announced the appointment of new Managing Directors to lead two of its other European operations. Daniel Kliem, previously Head of Risk Management at American Express, will join as Managing Director of Creditsafe Germany and Luca Berti, who will bring his extensive consultative experience in the Big Data arena to his new role heading up Creditsafe Italy where he was previously Data and Product Director.
This follows the appointments of Angus Gow as Chief Technology and Content Officer and Camilla Frimmel as Chief Analytics Officer earlier this year.
With over 20 years’ experience in developing technology platforms with businesses ranging from Lastminute.com, Microsoft and more recently Menzies Aviation, Angus will have responsibility for continuing to strengthen Creditsafe’s global IT infrastructure and the ongoing evolution of its product portfolio. Camilla, who was previously Head of Group Business Analytics and Optimisation at Intrum Justitia, Europe’s leading provider of Credit Management Services, will bring her extensive experience to Creditsafe in the further development of the company’s credit scoring models and in the provision of bespoke analytical solutions for clients.
Commenting on the appointments, Creditsafe Group CEO Cato Syversen, said: “I am delighted that Gertjan has agreed to join us on the Creditsafe journey and am pleased to welcome him and our other new colleagues who will all bring their individual proven track records and in-depth understanding of the global business intelligence industry to help us continue our exciting progress.
“Collectively, this strengthening of our senior management team will put us into an even stronger position for 2017, ready to lead and ready to match the challenges of both a changing economy and changing client needs. I am genuinely excited to see the impact they will all have in the years ahead.”
