CSA announces launch of diploma course 2008
The Credit Services Association (CSA), voice of the UK debt collection industry, has announced dates for its 2008 Diploma Course, held in partnership with City and Guilds.
Full-day tutorials will be held once a month between January 2008 and April 2008, culminating in an examination in May. Students can join one of four groups, each comprising a maximum of 25 students, with a choice of two sessions at the Open University in Milton Keynes, and two at the Manchester Business School, Manchester.
The course, now in its eighth successive year, is open to everyone involved in the debt servicing industry, and offers a unique opportunity for students to gain a greater understanding of the debt collection industry and to promote best practice.
Arranged across four modules, each presented by experienced members of the debt collection industry, the diploma course is designed to cover vital aspects of debt collection, including an introduction to the industry, collection methods and how they work, trace and investigations, and commercial debt collection.
All candidates achieving the Diploma will receive a personalised certificate endorsed by both City & Guilds and the CSA. It is also possible to attend just one session, with delegates attending individual tutorials qualifying for a CSA Certificate of Attendance. Any candidates who unfortunately didn’t quite make the grade last year can come and re-sit the examination.
A special presentation day is also included in the price of the diploma. Expected to be held in late June, the presentation day is designed to award students for their hard work and dedication, not just to the course but also to the industry, giving students the opportunity to relax with their peers and colleagues, and to be formally presented with their certificates.
“The CSA is committed to quality and professionalism in all that it does,” says Gillian Forrest, Head of Training at the CSA. “Last year’s Diploma course was oversubscribed at both venues, so I would advise candidates to book early to avoid disappointment.”
