CSA Leadership confirmed for 2016
Members at the Credit Services Association (CSA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) voted unanimously to retain Leigh Berkley and John Ricketts as President and Vice President respectively of the Association for another 12 months. Nick Cherry, Managing Director of Phillips & Cohen Associates International, has also been re-elected to the Board for another three-year term.
Mr Berkley said it was a privilege to lead the Association for another year: “So much has been achieved in what has been a very busy time for the UK Collections industry but there is still so much to do
“While 2015 was perhaps dominated by the work of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the drive towards authorisation, other issues such as the Pre-Action Protocol (PAP), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and our engagement with Ofcom and the LSB have kept us fully occupied in representing our members’ interests, and this work will continue.”
The President highlighted other initiatives such as the launch of the CSA’s Degree-level qualification and a programme to encourage apprentices through the new ‘trailblazers’ scheme as being representative of the work delivered by the Board for its members.
He also praised the work of his colleagues in publishing two new guidelines regarding the Withdrawal of Paying Accounts and high-level principles for outsourcing in the credit industry.
