Template letters help small businesses struggling with late payment
Euler Hermes Collections, the UK’s largest specialist business-to-business (B2B) collections agency, has launched a toolbox of Final Demand Letter templates to help small businesses struggling with late payment get back what they’re owed.
The letters, which inform the debtor that they have seven days to pay before recovery proceedings are instigated, are available in English as well as a further five languages – Dutch, French, German, Italian and Spanish – to assist companies that may conduct business overseas but are not being paid, perhaps because of difficulties with the local language.
Phil Mercer, Head of Euler Hermes Collections UK, says that the name of Euler Hermes and its links with the insurer Allianz can prove to be a powerful tool: “Final demand letters are an effective method of securing payment, especially when coming from a third party,” he says.
“In many cases, thanks to our strong reputation in collections, sending one of our Final Notice letters is enough in itself to convince a customer that it is time to pay. As a global company, our name is also recognised worldwide,” he continues, “and we have a firm foundation of local knowledge that enables us to also assist companies with their overseas collections activity.”
