1 April 2015, Paris – EDHEC Business School announces the appointment of Scope Ratings Group Managing Director Stefan Bund to the school’s Financial Economics Advisory Board, a group of top executives who work with EDHEC to ensure that academic programmes reflect industry needs and prepare students to tackle real-world challenges.

The Financial Economics Advisory Board was established in 2008 and is composed of a dozen Finance and Investment executives in addition to EDHEC academic administrators. EDHEC works closely with its numerous corporate partners to ensure that the EDHEC students they recruit are job-ready. The Advisory Board, which meets once a year, is just one example of how EDHEC helps business to advance.

“The involvement of top executives is crucial to ensuring the relevance and high-quality of our Finance programmes”, said Pascale Viala, Director of the EDHEC Finance and Economics Track. “Board members bring a unique view on key developments in the corporate world and the financial industry, and they help us to equip our students for the realities of the job market and the work place”.

In his position as Scope Managing Director, Mr. Bund serves as the Chief Rating Officer for the firm’s analyst team. Before joining Scope, he worked at Fitch Ratings in London, where he served as European Head of Structured Credit and where he managed a team of 50 analysts. He has also served as Managing Director Asset Based Finance at WestLB and Portigon. Mr. Bund is a graduate of the Harvard Business School and has a PhD from the University of Hohenheim.

“EDHEC stands for analytical excellence and innovative thinking - and so does Scope Ratings”, said Mr. Bund. “I am pleased to join EDHEC's advisory board and to support the success of EDHEC's academic programmes and graduates’ careers”.
